Realm Forge Economy: Workers, Renown, Buildings and Legions
The real numbers behind each phase, from the first Apprentice to the last legion.
Realm Forge is an economy game more than a clicker. Every phase has its own bottleneck, and knowing the numbers helps you see it coming. This page collects the values the game uses for workers, the market, Renown, the Kingdom's production chain and the Empire's legions. They are read from the game's balance data, so they stay accurate when the game is rebalanced. The game runs at 4 ticks per second, so “per tick” rates are four times higher per second.
Phase 1: the Village
The market
You start with 1,000 iron. Each further batch of iron costs about 20 gold, and that price swings by up to ±7 gold on a slow cycle. Buying on the dips adds up over a long run. Swords sell automatically. The default price is 25 gold, and you can set it anywhere from 1 to 100. Demand falls as the price rises, and each marketing level adds 25% demand. The first marketing level costs 100 gold, and each level after that costs 2× the one before.
Workers
| Worker | First costs | Price growth | Swords per tick |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apprentice A young smith. Forges 1 sword per tick. | 5 gold | +10% each | 1 |
| Forge Master A legendary artisan commanding an entire forge hall. 500 swords per tick. | 1,000 gold | +7% each | 500 |
Each sword uses one iron, so a bigger workforce empties your iron stock faster. The Forge Master unlocks once you employ 40 Apprentices. One Forge Master does the work of 500 Apprentices, so that unlock is the Village's biggest jump in output.
Renown milestones
Renown is earned from lifetime swords forged. It is spent on Scholars, which make 50 Knowledge per tick each, and on Libraries, which each add 25,000 to the Knowledge cap. 45 Renown is needed to raise the Kingdom. From milestones alone, you reach that at 500,000,000 lifetime swords, unless decrees add Renown sooner.
| Lifetime swords | Renown gained | Renown in total |
|---|---|---|
| 3,000 | +1 | 1 |
| 5,000 | +1 | 2 |
| 10,000 | +1 | 3 |
| 25,000 | +1 | 4 |
| 50,000 | +1 | 5 |
| 100,000 | +2 | 7 |
| 250,000 | +2 | 9 |
| 500,000 | +2 | 11 |
| 1,000,000 | +3 | 14 |
| 5,000,000 | +3 | 17 |
| 10,000,000 | +3 | 20 |
| 25,000,000 | +5 | 25 |
| 50,000,000 | +5 | 30 |
| 100,000,000 | +5 | 35 |
| 500,000,000 | +10 | 45 |
| 1,000,000,000 | +10 | 55 |
| 5,000,000,000 | +15 | 70 |
| 10,000,000,000 | +20 | 90 |
Phase 2: the Kingdom
Your renown spreads across the land. Transform your village into a kingdom. When the Kingdom rises, your remaining gold converts into swords at 100 swords per gold, and you get at least 2,000,000. From here, swords are the currency. The mountains hold 1,000,000,000 units of ore. The Kingdom phase lasts until your guilds have mined them all.
| Building | First costs | Output per tick | Provisions per tick |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mining Guild | 40,000 swords | 1,000 ore | −2 |
| Smelter Guild | 40,000 swords | 1,000 iron | −2 |
| Arsenal Workshop | 300,000 swords | 10,000 swords | −5 |
| Farmland | 25,000 swords | 10 provisions | |
| Granary | 25,000 swords | +500 storage |
Every guild and workshop eats provisions. When food runs short, the whole chain slows down. When storage stays full, the Kingdom builds momentum during live play, up to 150% performance. Build Farmland and Granaries alongside every new guild, not after the slowdown.
Phase 3: the Empire
The mountains are bare. Send your legions to conquer the known world. The first legion costs 100,000 swords, and each one after that costs 15% more. The known world has 20,000,000,000 territories to claim. Your legions improve through 8 doctrines:
- Cavalry: Traversal speed & combat dodging
- Scouts: Finding new territories
- Conscription: Self-replication rate
- Fortification: Hazard resistance
- Siege Works: On-legion sword production
- Logisticians: On-legion ore gathering
- Smiths: On-legion iron conversion
- Vanguard: Combat damage vs dragons
