About Idle Center
Free idle games, made and maintained by one developer.
I'm Kamil Fiks, and Idle Center is my collection of incremental games. I design, write, balance and maintain every game on the site myself. There is no publisher and no studio behind it, just one person who enjoys idle games and wanted to make some that respect the player's time.
The games
- IdleCenter (Idle Game Studio Tycoon): Run your own idle game studio. Ship games, grow a catalog that pays you while you play, hire a team and research your way to a legendary studio.
- Primordial Tap (Evolution Clicker): Guide life from a single cell to planetary dominance. Unlock genetic milestones and survive mass extinction.
- Realm Forge (Medieval Economy): Rise from blacksmith to emperor. Build a market economy, hire workers, and forge a kingdom of steel.
Each game takes the same loop of earning, investing and growing in a different direction. Primordial Tap is a quick evolution clicker. IdleCenter is a planning-heavy studio tycoon. Realm Forge is an economy game whose rules change with every phase.
How the games are made
Idle games live or die by their pacing. If the wait is too long, the game gets boring. If it is too short, the game is over before it starts. So the games here are balanced with tools, not by guesswork:
- Offline simulators. Each game has a simulator that plays it from start to finish, much faster than real time, as players of different styles: an attentive player, a casual one and a fully idle one. It reports how long every stage takes and where progress stalls.
- Pacing tests. The pacing targets are written down as automated tests. In IdleCenter, for example, the first release must land within a minute, and the first hour must unlock something new every few minutes. Every update runs these tests before it can go live. A change that breaks the pacing is never published.
- Content as data. Upgrades, stages, research and decrees are data that the game reads. The reference pages and guides on this site read the same data, so the numbers you see here match the game you play.
- Saves that survive updates. Save formats are versioned. When an update changes them, your existing save is migrated rather than wiped.
What Idle Center promises
- Free, with no pay-to-win. There are no purchases, premium currencies or paid boosts in any game.
- No account. You never have to sign up. Your progress is saved in your own browser, on your own device. See the privacy policy for details.
- No ads inside the games. The site may show advertising on its pages to cover hosting and development, but never in or next to the playable game area.
- Honest copy. The FAQs and guides describe the games as they really work, including their limits, such as how much offline time each game credits.
